- Nicholas Keomuongchanh is the General Manager and Head Trainer. He discovered CrossFit in 2009 on a deployment to Iraq. He has been training others using the CrossFit methodology since 2011. He currently holds a Level One Trainer certification and a CrossFit Football Trainer certification. His passion is to lead others and CrossFit is the perfect medium. Nicholas lead a CrossFit class of 10-15 United States Air Force personnel and dependents 6 days a week for 18 months during his time stationed at Tyndall Air Force Base. His Level One Trainer certification was pivotal in the establishment of Checkertail CrossFit, a non-profit military affiliate.
Brittany Keomuongchanh (BEAR) is the Office Manager. She has many skills running a business. She currently manages a staff of four administrative assistants, building the weekly schedule, managing payroll, greeting clients and ensuring all their needs are met with the correct therapist, and selling memberships. Brittany has several years of customer service and administrative experience specializing in managing social media marketing and general advertising.
Brett Broderick is a partner and Technology Manager. His CrossFit training began in 2013 in Phoenix Arizona. Brett graduated from the University of Florida (go gators!) and has developed advanced technical skills as a Computer Hardware Engineer. Brett will use his diverse experience and strong skill set in whatever means necessary to ensure GCCF is successful and develops a reputation as the premier fitness facility in northern Florida.
Justin Hoyt’s passion for CrossFit began during his time in the United States Navy. He served from 2010 to 2014; and discovered CrossFit while in the Persian Gulf on the USS Enterprise. He “cleaned and snatched” or at least attempted to, in the middle of the Gulf, and the rest is history. He completed the CrossFit Level One course in 2012 and started coaching when he left the Navy in 2014, while simultaneously completing his Associate of the Arts Degree. He is currently pursuing his bachelors degree in accounting. Justin also completed the USA Weightlifting Level 1 course in 2015 to better coach athletes on the clean and jerk and the snatch.
